This is exactly what we had in mind when we decided on Green Voyage in Electric Vehicles which have the potential to deliver energy security and the local environment. The Green Voyage aims to promote a sustainable lifestyle and switch to low emission travel alternatives. A journey like this has never been tried before, making it one of its kind, creating multiple world records for our team. This is our mission for a behavioural shift towards sustainability, influencing mankind through our journey. Hence our verticals include fight against climate change, promoting green mobility and eco-stays, reach Carbon Neutrality, build Green Consciousness, support local circular economy, recognise Green Heroes, collaborate with public and private sectors, and promote digital products and Campaign for Awareness on Road Safety (CARS).
The pathway towards Green Voyage was never easy. It took nearly a year to plan and work on to make this a reality. We followed the vision shared by Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, Honourable Minister of Road Transport & Highways of India, and Shri Mahendra Nath Pandey ji, Honourable Minister of Heavy Industries on ‘Go Electric Campaign.’ We received wholehearted support in this regard from Shri Antony Raju, the Honourable Minister of Road Transport of Kerala, and inaugurated the Green Voyage website in May 2022. We are fortunate to have support and guidance from Shri. A.K. Saseendran, the Honourable Minister of Forests of Kerala for all our activities. Green Voyage became a reality finally, after we met Shri Rajiv Arora, Director, EV Expo – An All-India Electric Vehicle Exposition.
Now that, Green Voyage is all set to start in association with EV Expo and Altius Technologies, powered by a pool of Electric Vehicle Companies in India. Ministries of 13 states will be participating in this green mobility programme. The voyage will be an EV Expo on the move, consisting of an electric bus, cars, auto rickshaws, scooters and bikes. It will commence on February 02, 2022 from the southern tip of India, Kanyakumari and will conclude at the crown of India, Kashmir across 250+ cities covering 4600+ kms in 450+ hours. The Green Voyage is an attempt to prove to the world that EV is the travel of the future and a group of women drivers are going to break the myths associated with handling EVs on long distance journeys. The epic journey will be a record breaker and a doorway to developing a sustainable nation. Green Voyage is organised subtly to create excitement and sensation, acknowledging green consciousness all across the nation. We look forward to joining hands with all stakeholders in our mission to protect mother earth.
